Molly Price-Jones
Molly holds a B.Sc in Applied Biology and a Ph.D in biochemistry and has a strong background in academic research and extensive management experience in the life science and in vitro diagnostic industries. She has led R&D and Operations teams and was formerly the Managing Director of Gen-Probe Cardiff Ltd, the UK subsidiary of Gen-Probe Inc, headquartered in San Diego. She has worked for small companies and large organisations, including Boots, Amersham International and GE Healthcare.
Her career has given her broad experience of managing scientific and technical staff and she has firsthand experience of managing change, through leading company integrations and transfer of site operations. Her work in large organisations, leading global teams, has given her a good understanding of other business cultures and ways of working. She has worked extensively at the interface between scientists and the end customer and is an accomplished trainer and mentor, as well as having strong presentation skills. She is currently providing expertise to small in vitro diagnostic companies and working on a Welsh Government programme.
Chris Price-Jones
Chris has wide ranging expertise in both business and education, at senior management and board level, and holds a B.Sc in Applied Biology. He has a broad experience of managing change, through evaluating and implementing projects that have delivered new products and production processes, as well as new educational resources. He has led projects to expand and develop premises for industrial and educational uses and has worked for several ‘blue chip’ companies including Boots, Beechams, Cadbury, Callard and Bowser and the Leaf group.
Chris has developed a number of innovation tools for assessing potential and realistic costs for innovation projects and works with public and private sector clients to help them innovate and grow their operations. He has worked on government contracts and programmes and is currently engaged in two key programmes for Welsh Government. He regularly interacts with business clients in all sizes of company, offering advice, guidance and support and helping them develop their staff to drive improvement and change. He is a fully accredited SFEDI business advisor and Investors in People specialist and is a Member of the Institute of Leadership and Management.
